Frequently Asked Questions
How is eTAMS different from generic timesheet software?
Most timesheet tools assume permanent staff on standard calendar months with a single work category per day. eTAMS handles multiple contract calendar cycles simultaneously, tracks up to seven work categories per day, prevents leave-payroll overlap automatically, and calculates contractor costs from submitted timesheets — all on your own server.
Do we need to change how we operate to fit the system?
No. During deployment, we map your exact contract types, calendar cycles, work categories, and approval chains into the system. eTAMS is configured to mirror how your organisation already works — not the other way round. You review and approve the configuration before any data is migrated.
What if our staff are not technical — will they actually use it?
The timesheet form uses the same categories your staff already fill on paper — Offshore Day, Swamp, Onshore, Holiday. They check boxes on a grid and click Submit. They receive a confirmation email instantly. No app to install. One forty-five minute training session is typically sufficient, with a recording available for new hires.
We are evaluating a full ERP system. Why should we consider eTAMS instead?
If your organisation needs full financials, supply chain, and HR in one system, ERP is the right path — but expect six to eighteen months to go live. If your immediate pain is specifically timesheet collection, leave management, and contractor cost administration, eTAMS solves that in eight weeks with far less implementation overhead. Many companies run eTAMS alongside their ERP for the workforce management layer.
